Barbarian Village Guide

Introduction:
The Barbarian Village in RuneScape is a very popular training area among many lower level players. It has one main shop, the helmet shop and various other buildings that can be used to help train other skills as well as having 2 fishing spots at the east side. In addition, there is a nearby canoe station and also an entrance point to the dungeons that house the Hill Giants.
Location:
The Barbarian Village is located directly west of Varrock on the main road leading to Falador. It is also directly south of Edgeville and is popular on free to play runescape worlds for low level training which includes mining, crafting, fishing and melee.
Map:

Shops:
The helmet shop is run by Peska and supplies various medium and full helms ranging from Bronze Medium Helm through to the Adamantite Full Helm.
Useful Buildings:
Pottery:
There is a pottery building directly south of the mining rocks at the center of the village. Players can craft wet clay on the Potters Wheel and then bake their creation in the Potters Oven.
Spinning Wheel:
Directly north of the mining rocks is the Spinning Wheel where players can spin wool into string and on member worlds will be able to make bowstrings.
The Longhall or Bar:
The Barbarian Village bar is north of the Spinning Wheel and is often used by low level players to train their melee as this is a multi-combat area. Players may also choose to train their range and their magic, although the barbarians can be quite vicious, they are generally useful only to low level players wishing to train their stats.
Other Information:
Mining:
There are 5 tin ores and 4 coal rocks located in the center of the Barbarian Village. This is a popular place for many low level miners trying to get coal on free to play servers, however, on member servers there should be the opportunity for you to have all 4 coal rocks yourself quite frequently.
Fishing:
There are two fishing spots to the east of the Barbarian Village where you can catch fish with your regular fishin rod through bait and also use a fly fishing rod and a feather to lure fish.
- There is a respawn of cooked meat or beer in the Longhall.
- There is a bronze pickaxe spawn point on a table next to the spinning wheel.
- There are two fires in the longhall that never go out that can be used to cook your fish.
- There are plenty of obstacles in the Barbarian Village so it can be a good place to train range.
- There is a canoe-building site south-east of the village.
