Farming in Runescape FAQ

This is a collection of frequently asked questions for farming on runescape and helping you understand the skill more. 1. Do gardening boots have any purpose on runescape for farming?
Simple answer no. Gardening boots are simply for decorative purposes and do not help your farming in any way.

2. How do I get seeds to farm with?
There are various ways to collect up seeds to level your farming:
a) Buy from the stall at Draynor Village or steal from the stall
b) Pickpocket farmers and master farmers located throughout runescape
c) Buy from other players
d) Slayer monsters drop seeds regularly as do other monsters
e) Birds Nests while cutting trees

3. What is the quickest way to increase my farming skill?
If you want to quickly gain farming levels you should farm multiple patches at the same time. You would travel between patches checking for disease and harvesting crops as they grow. If you have made farmer payments then you will not have to worry about disease and can simply continue farming different patches. If you can keep growing several patches at the same time, including herbs, vegetables, trees and fruit trees, the you will quickly get to a higher farming level that will enable you to concentrate on the better experience bearing seeds like high level tree, fruit tree and herb seeds.

4. I get bored waiting for my plants to grow, any suggestions?
If you are growing stuff at only one location you can try growing seeds at multiple locations. If you prefer just to manage one patch then you can consider high alchemy spell to train your magic while you wait for your patches to grow.
