Runescape Wilderness FAQ

This is a collection of frequently asked questions for the wilderness on runescape and helping you understand the skill more. If you have any questions that are not answered here then do not hesitate to submit your question either via email or registering on the forums and sending a personal message. If the question is suitable and relevant it will be added to this compilation for inclusion to benefit other runescape players who may have the same query as you.

1. Can I attack someone else in the wilderness who is wearing the same cape as me?
Yes. Players can attack people wearing the same cape as them, however, you will have to right click on your target and attack them that way. All other targets can be attacked simply by left clicking them.

2. Can I get killed by players in the Abyss?
No, you cannot get killed by other players while you are inside the Abyss, however, you may get attacked by other players before you manage to get teleported into the Abyss.

3. Can I teleport in the wilderness?
Yes, you are able to teleport in the wilderness but only up to level 20. After level 20 wilderness is reached then you cannot use normal teleport spells. Other forms of teleportation will not work after level 30.

4. Why is the wilderness dangerous?
The wilderness is one of the most dangerous places within runescape as you can be attacked by other players. Some parts of the wilderness are multiple attack areas and therefore more than one person can be attacking you at the same time.
Clans dominate this area and if you are on your own with good armour you will die before you realised what happened as you will not have had time to eat. The number one golden rule for people who go into the wilderness is NEVER take any items that they cannot afford to replace. The reason is there are too many things that may happen beyond your control to guarantee your safety.
