1. How or where do I start my slayer skill training on runescape?
There are 5 slayer masters located througout runescape and you will simply have to go to one of them and ask for an assignment. If you are a low level combat then you should start with an assignment from Tureal at Burthorpe or Mazchna north of Canifis bank. You will need to get your slayer skill to level 50 before you can get tasks from Duradel at Shilo
Village.
2. I hate the task I was assigned, can I cange it?
Yes, you may change a task by visiting Slayer Master Tureal at Burthorpe. You may only change the task if it is a monster that Tureal does not assign and it is the first time you are changing that task. Only one change per task is permitted.
3. How is my Slayer experience calulated for each monster?
The amount of experience that you receive for each monster will be determined by how many hitpoints that monster has. Players will receive 1 slayer experience per hitpoint of the monster they have been assigned in the task.
4. Can I get Slayer experience from Slayer monsters even if I was not assigned a task on them?
No, you can only ever gain slayer experience when you have been assigned them in a task. Players will also have to kill any normal monsters they are assigned on member servers before they gain slayer experience as it is a members only skill. However, you will still be able to obtain the unique slayer drops even if the monster was not assigned in a task.
5. What is the best way to use slayer for training combat?
The best way to use slayer for training combat in runescape will depend on your current combat and slayer level. Generally I prefer to use the Slayer Master at Shilo Village, although many people prefer to use the Lost City master. It all boils down to your preference and whichever slayer master gives more of the tasks that you enjoy doing, it will be best using that master. There is also this list of slayer tips that players can use to make more efficient use of their time when training.
