Before you can earn a lot of cash you first have to have some money. However, it is very easy to get your initial capital needed to start earning more money. For members there are more ways to raise cash than for non-members although it is not impossible for free to play people to earn decent income by collecting up things that are in demand by members and higher level players.

Raising Initial Money in Runescape:

As you start out you normally have low skills and low combat. You will need an easy way to raise some cash. Listed below are some very simple ways to collect up materials that require low skills or no skills for free to play people.

This will mean you can quickly convert your resources to money and can then invest the money to make it work for you.

Merchanting in Runescape:

Over the long term as a merchant it is advised to concentrate your business on only a few resources. Bank space is limited and will become hard to manage if you try and deal with too many resources as well as trying to keep all the suppliers happy with always being able to buy what they offer. I advise no more than 5 resources of your choice. It is sometimes most successful with just 1 resource if you manage to get the right buyers.

Once you have established a chain of suppliers and buyers then you will be set to continue successfully merchanting goods for your entire Runescape life. It is advised to set a day when you will be available to buy all the resources from your suppliers. This gives you a lot more freedom than having to constantly be accepting resources from suppliers everyday. You are free to play the game and enjoy it more as you will not be lacking money.

The most difficult part of merchanting is forming a reliable chain of suppliers, as buyers will come and go often especially if it is a highly desired resource.

Runescape Money from Combat:

Combat is one way that many people overlook when they mention about making money. It is simple and over time you will accumulate a decent amount of wealth. My advice is to always ensure you have high alchmeny runes with you so that you can cast the spell on any monster drops that are valued at 300gp or more.

Over the course of time you will gradually build up a lot of resources from doing this. You may also stockpile several rune full helms and rune chain bodied which can either be sold or high alched as well for further gold. During the course of 1 month of combat it is not unheard of to earn 2million gp from doing this. Many will just throw this away and wonder why they struggle with cash at times.

People should also stockpile anything that is stackable as over time this will accumulate into bulk that can be sold for decent amounts of cash. Runes and rune essence are good things to stockpile as they can be used or sold. Either way they will make you money or save you money.
