Runescape Search Engine

As part of the development for this RuneScape help site, I have included a web search bar at the top of all pages that lists many RuneScape sites found in the Google index. It is part of the Google Co-Op search engine that I hope to develop over time and list all RuneScape fan sites that comply with Jagex rules for the game.

It is early days and obviously not all fan sites have been included yet - although one requirement to be listed will be that the fan site is within Jagex rules and as such sites that link to places offering cheats may not be included. Hopefully this will enable all RuneScape players to bookmark the Runescape Search Engine and enable them to freely search for any relevant RuneScape help that they require.

Obviously, since the search is powered by Google, there will be a requirement that the site is actually listed in the Google index otherwise it will be virtually impossible to have any results returned. The Co-Op search does not have to be limited to the sites that I include as there is an option to search the entire web - so if people using the search available on this site cannot find what they are looking for they are welcome to choose that option.

The default search is aimed at including all the top RuneScape help sites under one area and I hope all users of this website bookmark the RuneScape Search Engine and use it when they require any help. In addition, the ability to choose to search the entire web means that your searches do not have to be limited to strictly RuneScape searches, but can be on whatever you desire as the web search is powered by Google.

Hopefully if I can provide an extensive list of all legitimate fan sites then Jagex may look at making it official - although due to their policies I doubt this would happen, but I can always hope.

Finally, as this RuneScape help site is now live and accepting new guides, any player is welcome to register and submit their guides to the correct category for approval. The guides should be similar in style and nature to most of the guides already appearing on the site - if it is a very long guide then consider breaking it down into smaller sections so that readers can quickly scan the guide and glean any useful information they may require.
