Runescape Foreign Currency

Runescape prices traditionally were determined in the number of gold pieces, however, Jagex introduced foreign currencies into the runescape marketplace and this has created some increased benefits for members. The two main currencies are the Tokkul and the Trading Sticks, although Jagex may introduce other currencies in the future.

Tokkul can be used to purchase some unique items, although the items may also be gained from monster drops in the TzHarr Caves. Each item has a traditional counterpart, although there are differences in the actual attributes. Trading sticks on the other hand can be collected via protecting villagers in the Tai Bwo Wannai Village or selling items (mainly gems), to the trader in the center of the village.

Overall, the different runescape currencies have just introduced more almost redundant items into the game as better items are generally available that do not require special currencies. Needless to say, Jagex will introduce more currencies at some point as they expand the playability and storylines in the game.

Prices in this runescape guide are likely to fluctuate and should only be used as a guideline - shop prices will remain the same but street prices will no doubt change over time.
