Slayer in runescape is a challenging skill to complete, although it can also be very rewarding in terms of monster drops as players train to the elusive level 99. The varied assignments can be interesting to train combat as well as provide a wide variety of item drops. Slayer experience will only be awarded when a player successfully slays a monster from their assigned task from one of the appointed slayer masters.

Special equipment is required for some monsters when training the slayer skill. It is strongly advised that any player that is assigned a monster in their task that requires any specialist equipment, they should wear the correct equipment otherwise will find it extremely difficult to survive. All specialist slayer equipment can be purchased directly from the slayer master shops - all of them stock the same equipment and charge the same price.

The slayer item price guide will likely only change if Jagex alter the base shop prices or add new slayer items as a requirement on any new monsters.
