Varrock General Store

Varrock General Store in runescape is located virtually in the center of Varrock City itself.This city is normally a hive of activity with many low level players selling all the commonly dropped items to the store in exchange for some coins. The shop prices offered will vary depending on the stoick level of the item that is sold - with lower prices being paid when there are higher stocks of any particular item.

This offers many low level players a convenient outlet to sell all their unwanted goods and free up some space as well as giving some coins in return. Most of the items sold here will not be desired by higher level players, although there is an occasional item that appears that can be useful - as not every player is aware of the true value of some runescape items.

The picture below shows the default items that are stocked in the Varrock general store along with a few items that have been sold by players to either make additional bank space or to gain some coins in return for their 'junk'. It must be noted that stock levels can vary as well as the actual space available for new items to be sold directly to the varrock storekeeper - all stores in runescape will only contain one screen of items and once this is full, players will have to wait for a space to become available or look elsewhere to sell their goods. (players can simply change world to find a less busy shop)

The basic items that are stocked by defaul in the Varrock General Store are aimed mainly at low level players to help them out should they require it. Additional items such as Chisels, Pots, Jugs, Hammers and Shears are almost always in stock and can therefore be useful should players wish to maximise the efficiency of their bank space (especially for free to play characters where bank space is much more limited).

The Newcomer Map and the Security Book are stocked should any player wish to revise their knowledge. All runescape players should ensure that they are the only person with access to their account as accessing another players' account is against Jagex rules.

The security book advises people on setting a bank pin number to help further protect their game account from being usurped and used to break any other Jagex rules. All players should note that they are ultimately responsible for whatever actions are taken on their game account and are likely to face the consequences of any rule breaches that may occur.
