Zaff's Superior Staffs store in runescape is located to the north west side of Varrock City center. This provides a useful way for mages to buy any of the 4 basic staffs required to cast spells. In addition to the 4 basic element staffs there is also a plain basic staff, a magic staff and the basic battlestaff. Runescape Members will be able to make much better use of this store as they have the ability to craft orbs onto the basic battlestaff and therefore gain an additional way to make money from their characters skills.

The battlestaff has an initial cost of 7,000 gp. This may seem expensive, although players who are able to make orbs and enchant them to attach to the basic battlestaff will be able to make money back and in some cases will make profit depending how they have funded the other materials required. This method of making money via the crafting skill is only available to runescape members.

Any runescape player using a staff is making their magic casting more efficient as well as their magic training as it frees up one additional inventory space and enables players to autocast spells, which increases the speed of their training.

The cost of one of the basic element staffs is easily recovered and espcially for players who will train their magic using alchemy or high alchemy spells, they should invest in a staff of fire as no fire runes will be used during casting.

Overall, this store is never really busy as many people will not need or want more than one element staff. However, battlestaffs may be bought frequently by players who are training their crafting skill.
