Enlightened Journey
by: Latona
Description: On the peaceful island of Entrana a lone monk has tired of his life of simplicity and quiet reflection. Auguste wants to boldly write his name in the history books, to craftily defeat the laws of physics; to miraculously sail through the air... preferably not to horribly explode into a ball of flaming death.

To start the enlightened journey quest you need to speak to Auguste on the west side of Entrana. Auguste will ask you to collect several items - initially you will need to get him 3 papyrus, 1 ball of wool, 1 unlit candle and 1 full sack of potatoes.
After returning to Auguste with the initial items you are asked to make an origami balloon. To do this you must first use the papyrus on the ball of wool. The papyrus is folded into an origami box and the yarn will support the heat source.
Next, add the unlit candle to the balloon structure. It will act as the heat source. Once you have done that speak to Auguste again to begin the experiment. Hand over the balloon structure to Auguste after speaking to him.
There is a cutscene that shows Auguste hypothesis was correct.
After the initial test hand Auguste the remaining 2 sheets of papyrus and the full sack of potatoes.
A cutscene shows another experiment with the peasants Larry, Bob, Curly and Moe running towards the cliff face as the balloon sinks into the see. These are the flash mob phenomenon that have been hypothesized as beings of great power sent to smite those who question the gods.
Speak to Auguste again to find out that Yelow Dye, Red Dye, 10 pieces of silk, a clay bowl and 8 sandbags are required. Sandbags can be made by getting empty sacks and filling them at a sand pit at either Entrana, Yanille, Rellekka or Zanaris.
You are given a Auguste's sapling and a basket of apples to plant the tree. If you lose the sapling it will cost 30,000 coins for a new one. Once the tree is fully grown, cut twelve branches from it using secateurs. Bring the branches back to Auguste and use them on the metal frame on the platform to create the basket.
If you have planted a willow tree and not yet checked the health, you can check the health and then you will need to wait for the branches to grow to be able to cut them with the secateurs. The branches respawn quite quickly, but the tree will take time to grow if you do not already have a tree fully grown.

The balloon needs 10 normal logs for fuel. The balloon will be controlled based on weight, so the maximum weight will be 40kg. You will also need a tinderbox to light the logs. The objective is to land the balloon on the target at the end of the route. The route ends in Taverley where a target has been painted on the ground.
The balloon is very fragile and even clouds will be dangerous. You should be able to squeeze through some surprising spaces if you pilot it well. The sandbags will give the balloon a big lift when dropped, whereas adding the logs will only make it rise a little. Be careful not to use them up too quickly as there is no way to replenish them.
If you do run out of logs and sandbags it will be impossibe to go up any longer. Hopefully there is no need to go up otherwise you will likely need to bail or risk crashing.
There are two ropes, a red one which is an emergency rope and it wi let the hot air out of the balloon which will make you drop quickly. The other rope will only drop you by a little bit.
Once you complete the course the quest will be complete. Congratulations.
