The Lost City Quest

The Lost City Quest is one of the most important member quests there is as it lets you access the large fairy city of Zanaris. It also gives you
access to one of the most popular weapon types (dragon daggers and dragger swords).

Skills required: 36 woodcutting and 31 crafting (you also need some combat requirements - check the tree spirt section)
Items needed: None but there are many helpful ie teleport runes and armour and runes or weapons to kill the level 101 tree spirt

Starting this quest
To start this members only quest you need to have 36 Woodcutting and 31 Crafting. Head to Lumbridge Swamps and talk to the Warrior. Ask him what he is searching for. Then ask him who is Zanaris and he will say its not a person its a hidden city of fairies. Then ask him how will you find it if its hidden and he will say something about a leprechaun hiding in a nearby tree.

The leprechaun is hiding in the tree with the selection chop tree (every other tree has the selection chop down tree). When you go to cut this tree Shamus the Leprechaun will jump out and tell you about Zanaris the lost city and to enter you need a Dramen Staff and if you enter the shack in Lumbridge Swamp with a staff you will get teleported to Zanaris. He also mentions something about Entrana.

Entrana
Entrana is a city for the peaceful and there is a rule to access the Island you are not able to take weapons of any kind. In future I may make a list but all you need to know basically is you are not able to take Armour, Weapons and Crossbows. You can fletch a crossbow and you can bring runes and craft leather.

On this island there is a dungeon you need to get into where there is a Dramen tree. To access the island talk to one of the monks in Port Sarim and they will smile at you and let you on if your not wearing any armour.

Killing the level 101 tree spirt
Once in the dungeon, head to the tree where a level 101 tree sprit will jump out of the tree and start attacking you.

You are going to Entrana to chop a Dramen Branch from a Dramen Tree and Entrana Dungeon (access only from Entrana) is where the only one is located. As you cannot bring weapons on the Island you need to kill a level 20 Zombie first to get an axe to chop the tree.

As you chop the tree a level 101 tree sprit will jump out and you have to dispose of it before you can continue cutting. The dungeon is in the top right corner of the map which is the north west corner of Entrana. There is a good place to mage and range the spirit from, but I suggest using magic as at level 35+ mage you can hit very high, but remember you can only bring runes (not a staff).

The only way out of the dungeon is through a portal leading to level 32 wilderness, so don’t head that way. If you are in trouble, head back to the entrance as its the safest place in the dungeon then teleport. If you can’t do home teleport then log out for 20 minutes and come back and use home teleport, and if you can’t do that (impossible) then scream!!!.

Oh yes, be prepared to attack and don’t do what most do and bring nothing, get an axe and get lucky.

The tree spirits are located at the end of the dungeon. Once you are in go past the zombies (unless you want an axe), until you get to the greater demons, these are easy as you have to wait for a good time (when they are both on one side) and you can get past with only getting hit a zero.

Take a left from the lesser and you will be in a room with a tree. The tree sprit is not that hard and its harder to kill a level 82 lesser demon. If
you have 20+ mage (if maging ) 40+ range or 70+ combat (60 defense) then you should have no problems. The easiest way is maging from a safe spot.

Once you have killed the spirit cut the tree with your woodcutting axe you got from the zombies and get a dramen branch then teleport to Lumbridge (home teleport or teleport with magic).

Zanaris
Now you are in Lumbridge, head to the kitchens in the castle and get a knife of the back table where there is a respawn. Then run into Lumbridge Swamp and go to the shack (at the east side of the Swamp). Once you are there, use your knife with Dramen branch from the tree and then you have a dramen staff. Enter the shack and its quest complete. Congratulations !!!
