Clan Pest Control

Runescape clans virtually dominate the Pest Control mini game on member servers and exclude low level players from being able to participate. This exclusion is to increase the efficiency of earning combat experience rather than being snobbish, although it creates a catch 22 for low level combat people.

Larger clans in runescape have the volume of members to be able to hold their own clan events and therefore can achieve private training sessions that double up as clan bonding sessions. It is an almost ideal mini game that further enables runescape members to advance their training above free to play characters and free to play clans. It gives members a significant advantage in teamwork and training.

Runescape Clans that are low level combat and are member based should seize on this opportunity to work together with their allies to create their own pest control clan events. This would enable the lower level clan to quickly gain combat levels and therefore their ability to compete with higher ranked clans as well as continuing to foster relations with their allies.

The pest control mini game is member only, so this does elminate a great deal of players from being able to take advantage of this situation, however, for members who find themselves excluded from the main clan controlled pest control worlds this enables them to compete effectively and exploit the opportunity to gain higher overall combat levels.

Jagex continue to update mini games and introduce more multiplayer games but do not specifically endorse or support clans. It is runescape clans that are directly benefitting while more and more of the non-clan community find themselves wanting to join a clan to be able to experience the full benefits of the mini games. This means runescape clan events can also become recruitment events as well as training and bonding events. No runescape clan should overlook this factor as all clans would welcome new members that showed the right attitude and endeavour.
