Form: Either a spider with a male humans head or a sheep with a wolfs head. Both are the same combat level and have around the same level of hitpoints.

Attack type: The Experiments are melee opponents and they are not very strong, they should never hit you if you have the recommended items. The experiments are basically an easy training monster to fight against, although it is always wise to have some food with you just incase it is needed.

Recommended items: No lower than a amulet of strength, good armour, anything above rune is best, best weapons to bring are: a dragon scimmy, a dragon dagger poisoned or an abyssal whip. These are best for training on experiments, but any weapon will be effective against them to some extent.

The above is what I normally take with me when I am training my melee.

Weakness: strength attacks

Location: In the caves under Fenkenstrains Castle

Other notes: These have very high defence levels, and also you MUST have completed or at least managed to get to the required part of the "Creature Of Fenkenstrain" quest to enter the cave. No food is required unless at a very low level under 20.

Experience given per kill: at least 400 along with around 100 hitpoints experience. Experiments are available only on member servers and is an easy place for low and mid level combat players to train their melee skills up without needing lots of food.
