Firemaking and Pyre Logs
Pyre logs are member only items. They are any log that has been treated with Sacred Oil. To get Sacred Oil you need to use olive oil on the sacred flame at the Shades of Mort'on Temple. You simply have to use the Sacred Oil on any log to make it a Pyre Log. For example using Sacred Oil with Magic Logs will give you Magic Pyre Logs.
Pyre Logs are required to burn on the funeral pyres at Shades of Mort'on area. You will also need some Shade remains. Each Pyre Log has a chance of giving a key which can be used to open a chest in the temple. There are various rewards from the chest and it is how you obtain fine cloth which is used in making Splitbark Armour.
The table below shows how many doses of Sacred Oil are required to make a Pyre Log of the same type and how much firemaking experience is awarded. It also shows the level required to make the Pyre Logs.
