Fletching Tips

Fletching Levelling Tips:

• Level 1 - 10 you should make arrow shafts from any normal trees. You will only require a knife and a hatchet.
• Level 10 - 35 you can either stick with making arrow shafts or switch to making oak bows.
• Level 35 - 70 you can switch to making willow bows.
• Level 70 - 99 you can concentrate on making yew longbows.
• Level 85+ some people may prefer to switch to making magic longbows at level 85 although yew logs are in much greater supply so may prove to be quicker in the long run.

Overall, my preference was to level fletching via making bows, although there are several different ways to use fletching in order to level skills. The different methods are:

• Making Crossbows
• Making Darts
• Making Bolts
• Making Arrows

Fletching Experience Tips:

• Willow longbows will gain 41.5 experience for each one cut. You can get another 41.5 experience for stringing it although I do not advise stringing willow bows.
• Yew longbows will give 75 experience for each one that is cut and an additional 75 experience will be gained for stringing the Yew longbow.
• Magic Longbows give 91.5 experience for cutting and 91.5 experience for stringing. Highly suggested if you have the suppliers.

Runescape Money Tips by Fletching:

• If you want to maximise your earnings from fletching you will need to supply all the resources yourself.
• If you plan to buy most of your resources then set strict limits ie 300gp for yew logs, 150gp for bowstrings and 300gp for nature runes. The Yew longbow will high alchemy for 768gp which will make 18gp profit per log used.

Other Runescape Fletching Tips:

• Always cut and string bows at a bank. This will mean you can quickly deposit all the bows and can later sell to a local shopkeeper in note form. It will prevent you losing some cash if you dropped the bows while you cut the logs.
• Never string bows below Yew Longbow as the cost of bowstrings and other resources will outweigh the high alchemy value of the bow being made.
