Making Bows

When you have decided to move into making bows you must be made aware that it is mainly a two stage process. The first stage you will produce an unstrung bow and the second stage you will strin the bow. The experience given for each stage is the same.

The equipment needed to make bows is simply a knife, some logs and some bowstrings. All you need to do is use the knife on the log of your choice and decide to make longbows or shortbows. For training your fletching, generally choosing longbows is the best option as they give more experience.

The table below shows the level required for making each type of bow and the experience for each stage in the process along with the total experience given.

Composite Ogre Bows:

The process again is a two stage process but the materials required are somewhat different. You will need to have some wolf bones in your inventory and use your knife on achey logs and make an unstrung bow. Simply use a bowstring with the unstrung bow to complete a Composite Ogre Bow.

If you decide to make a Composite Ogre Bow then you can only use Brutal Arrows with it. In addtion, you will need to have started the Zogre Flesh Eater Quest otherwise you will not have learnt the process of making this bow.
