Weapon Poison in Herblore
by: Latona
Members are able to poison a select amount of weapons on runescape that will poison their opponents over time and can be cured by sipping an anti-poison potion (if you have been struck by a poisoned item).
The following items can have poison added to them:
Arrows
Daggers
Darts
Knives
Javelins
Spears
There are currently four different types of poison commonly found throughout the Runescape. These are:
| Poison: | Symbol: |
| Weapon Poison | (p) |
| Karambwan Paste (Applied to Spears only) |
(kp) |
| Extra Strength Poison | (p+) |
| Super Strength Poison | (p++) |
The damage that these cause increases as you go down through the list.
Players can remove poison from items by using a cleaning cloth and then simply applying their preferred poison to the weapon.
If you ever get poisoned then sipping an anti-poison will remove the affects and leave you immune for a short amount of time. The better the anti-poison used the longer you will be immune from poison. Similarly if you do not mind taking the poison damage it will gradually wear off over time and the damage caused will reduce until eventually it wears off.
It should be noted that if you are poisoned on a members world and you switch to a non-member world, you will still suffer poison effects. However, you will not be able to drink a poison antidote, as they are member only items. Simply ensure that you have sufficient food until the poison wears off naturally.
