Runecrafting Talismans and Tiaras

In order to access Rune Altars outside of The Abyss players will have to have a Talisman or tiara of the corresponding rune. Talismans can help players locate the altars if they are not familiar with the locations.

After completing the Rune Mysteries Quest, you will receive an Air talisman as a reward.

The table below lists the talismans available and where they can be obtained.

Body	Dropped by Guards, Wizards, Dark Wizards and Giants
Chaos	Dropped by Hobgoblins, Skeletons, Ice Warriors, Shadow Warriors, Lesser Demons, Hill and Fire Giants
Cosmic	Gift from random events Various medium to high level monsters
Death	Obtained after completing Mournings End Part II Dropped by Dark Beasts
Earth	Dropped by Men, Wome, Wizards, Dark Wizards, Al-Kharid Warriors, Rogues, Vampire, Greater and Lesser Demons
Elemental	Dropped by Abyssal monsters
Fire	Dropped by Guards, Wizards, Unarmed skeletons and Dark Wizards
Law	Reward for completing the Troll Stronghold Quest
Mind	Dropped by Imps, Wizards, Dark Wizards, Yanille Tower Guards and Colonel Radick
Nature	Dropped by Hobgoblins Jogres, Moss Giants, Green Dragons, Zombies and various other high level monsters
Water	Dropped by Wizards, Giant Frogs and Dark Wizards

Note: Talismans are also required when making Combination runes.

Tiaras

Tiaras perform the same function as talismans - they allow you to gain access to a runecrafting altar. Once you have crafted the tiara, you can enchant it to allow you to access the altar of your choice.

To enchant a tiara you must:
1. Take your plain tiara along with your talisman of choice to your chosen altar.
2. Use the tiara on the altar and your talisman will then disappear from your inventory. Your tiara has been enchanted.
