Slayer Tips

Slayer Levelling Tips:
- Combat level 3 - 20 should use Tureal as their Slayer master as he will give the easiest tasks and enable you to advance your slayer and combat without proving to be too difficult. This master is located at Burthorpe.
- Combat level 20 - 40 should use Mazchna as their Slayer Master as the number of creatures in the task will give you more training time for your combat. This master is located at Canifis.
- Combat level 40 - 70 should use Vannaka as their Slayer Master as he will give some good tasks with decent numbers of monsters to fight. This master is located at Edgeville Dungeon.
- Combat level 70 - 100 should use Chaeldar as their Slayer Master. The tasks given will be a decent quantity and normally are excellent monsters to train your combat on.
- Combat level 100+ should use Duradel as their Slayer Master providing they have a slayer level of 50 or more. The tasks offered by Duradel can go upto 199 monsters per task and as your Slayer level increases can become quite useful tasks to train Slayer on.
Slayer Experience Tips:
- Each monster you kill on a slayer task will give 1 slayer experience per base hitpoint of the creature. This means if a monster would normally respawn with 105 hitpoints, if you kill that monster you would receive 105 slayer experience per kill.
- Bloodveld offer excellent slayer experience for mid to high level players with 120 slayer experience per kill (if you have them on an assignment).
- Black Demons give 157 slayer experience per kill and are especially good on slayer tasks when using both melee and range combined. Using a cannon to range while you melee the demons is by far the quickest way to get through a task.
- Monsters that are quick to kill but offer less slayer experience when killed are often a better choice of assignment than monsters that offer higher slayer experience but take a considerable length of time to kill.
Runescape Slayer Money Making Tips:
- Slayer monster unique drops are often in demand by other lower level players who are unable to get the item themselves. Prices fluctuate and generally lower over time, although there is some price stability with items such as granite mauls (slayer level 75 required), rune boots (slayer level 80 required) and Abyssal whips (slayer level 85 required).
- Abherrant Specters are an excellent source of herbs. Members can identify the herbs and keep hold of the useful herbs or alternatively, members can stock all the herbs as unid herbs and sell to people for a reasonable amount of cash.
- Banshee offer and excellent way for low level combat players to quickly stock pure essence while they train their combat levels.
- Dust Devils (level 65 slayer required and to have started the Desert Treasure Quest), can provide an excellent training area and are especially useful for stocking Fire Runes and Rune Arrows. If you are extremely lucky you may get a Dragon Chain drop as a reward.
- Players should always take high alchemy runes with them on slayer tasks as many monsters will drop items of 300gp or greater value that should be high alched. The cash received will either simply pay for the runes used ( making the mage experience free), or will make some profit. Personally I make approx 2million gp per month while training slayer if I bring the high alchemy runes with me. A lot of people ignore this and do not realise how much cash can be accumulated over time.
- Always keep any stackable items from slayer monster drops. Over time this will accumulate into a healthy income.
Other Runescape Slayer Tips:
- Always ensure you wear the correct equipment when fighting a slayer monster.
- Always bring high alchemy runes with you to high alch the drops you do not wish to keep.
- Sometimes killing the middle or lower version of a monster will be quicker experience overall ie Kalphite Soldiers as opposed to Kalphite Queens.
- Do not be afraid to change tasks if you feel you are getting nowhere - a new task could keep you more focussed on training slayer and getting to the much sought after level 85.
- Slayer respite can increase your slayer level for a short time between 1 and 2 levels. Mature respite will increase it by 2 levels while normal respite will increase it by 1 level.
- Slayer tasks can only be completed on member worlds, so make sure you are on a member world otherwise you will not gain any slayer experience
- Wild Pie will give a +5 boost to your slayer for a short amount of time.
