f2p fishing guide

Fishing in runescape is a basic skill that has the potential to earn a lot of money. This guide is aimed at players who are on free to play servers and want to know the fastest way to raise their fishing skill.

Levels 1-20 go to draynor with a net and fish there with the net until you hit 20 fishing. This should take about 240 shrimp to get to level 15. Then to get from level 15-20 it should be around another100 shrimp and 50 anchovies to 20.

Now you are level 20 fishing it is time to get from level 20 to level 60 fishing.

You should head to barbarian village with a flyfishing pole and around 4-6k feathers to reach lvl 60 fishing.

Salmon and trout are not the best for money making, but they do go fast and give you alot of fishing experience.

Once you have reached lvl 60 fishing it is now time to get from level 60 to level 75 fishing.

Now go to north karamja and fish lobsters if you have any feathers left over use them up. Then you need a lobster cage and 60gp each trip as the boat costs you 30gp each way. It will be around 10,500 lobsters. The fastest way would be to drop them or sell them at the general store but if you want money more than skill experience keep making trips back and forth to drop off lobsters in your bank. This is more money but slower experience.

You are now level 75 fishing and want to get from level 75 to level 99.

You can stay with lobs since they are now going a bit faster to catch or you could get a harpoon and start catching swordfish.

It will take about 131k lobsters if you fish lobsters all the way to level 99 or it will be around 135k swordfish and tuna. It will take a while to get this but you will now be at 99 fishing and will be able to get alot of money. If you are a member or become one you will be able to get a fishhing skill cape.
