Mage Guide For Characters Who Have At Least Level 20 Mage

First of all, make sure you have a good amount of body runes and water runes (always have double the amount of water runes than body runes, e.g. 800 body runes and 1600 water runes), if you do not have any then you can buy some at the Varrock rune store.

Next, wear full melee armour (platebody, full helm, plate legs, and kitesheild) and wear an earth staff as your weapon, an earth staff can be bought from the Varrock staff shop.

After you have all your body and water runes, and you are wearing all the appropriate equipment, go inside Varrock castle. Once you are inside the castle, walk to the middle and you will find some stairs, and next to the stairs is a Zamarok monk in a cage. Now keep casting the spell CURSE on this Zamarok monk and you will get at least 26exp each time you cast the spell on him. You should be a decent lvl 40 mage in no time!
