Crandor Training Guide

This guide is not meant for runescape members as they have other ways to do it. It is meant for free to play people.

Well, all you f2p people you don't get very many training options for the skill combat as jagex want to push you into becoming a member. Well there is one thing they missed, the brilliant island of Crandor and the dungeons beneath it.

The reason its got the highest leveled non-member creatures is because it is so far from a bank, but you can get around that so easily and don’t have to leave the island until your job is done or you have 99 in attack, strength, defence, hitpoints, prayer, fishing and cooking. You can also do range and mage but you need to get more arrows and runes (them two ways are not explained in the guide). Let me explain...

The requirements to do this are easy to obtain

40 attack
40 strength
40 defence
40 fishing
40 cooking
25 magic (not required but helpful)

These can be obtained in 4 days.

The equiment required is:

A rune full helm
A rune scimmy
A rune chainbody or platebody (you need to haev completely finished dragon slayer for that)
A set of rune legs and a rune square or kite shield
You can add other things like amulets or rings and you will collect arrows when you are there.

And in your inventory:

A lobster pot (if you want swordies, which I wouldn’t advise, then get a harpoon and 50 fishing)
A tinderbox
An axe (of any type)
1k
Teleport runes if you have 25 mage (if not just leave the space or add lobbies)

The quest required is Dragon Slayer, but you only have to be able to access the island so as long as you’ve got to the island in it then you're sorted. In dragon slayer you need to defeat a level 82 lesser in the Melzar maze. To do this wield all your equiment and you can storm it.

The whole trick is you can fish lobbies or swordies at the fishing spot on Karjama so you will never need to run home and basically live on the island. You can also sell stuff to the general store, high alch it or give it to someone else for free which goes on a lot here.

The people who train here are often really nice and many are in the 100s, but have never been to members so everyones a happy community. There are a few types of monster on Crandor and Crandor (or Karjama) dungeons. Sometimes when training you will get random events with bank deposit places where you can chuck all your stuff in your bank.

Step 1 - getting from level 40 everything to 53 everything

Once you’ve done the Dragon Slayer requirement and have reached the island then go from the ship all the way past the lessers and down the cave (make sure you have full lobbies). Then run past the Dragon Slayer cage and past the lesser and through the doorway. Once through the doorway you can officially access the whole of Karamja Volcano Dungeons (apart from tzhaar because that is a member area) and the whole of the great Crandor Island.

Okay once you are through the wall, go forward then when you can go left (running past the Deadly reds). Now there is some level 25 Skeletons you can train on them or if you don’t think your that good run to Karjama and train on the scorpions near the volcano.

Once your 45 everything you can move to the skeletons and keep going till 53 everything which isn’t very hard and can take a day or 2. Whenever you start losing food go to Karjama and fish some and make sure you pick up all the bones because in f2p prayer is the hardest skill to train.

Step 2 - getting from level 53 everything to 60 everything

Well, walk a few places from where your training left and you will come to some deadly red spiders. Train on these until level 60 attack, strength and defence. You still don’t have to leave Crandor and the drops are good but you won’t be gaining as much money - just items.

If you’ve never bought food and always fished it you could be nearly level 50, so if you want you can buy a harpoon and do swordies but its not recommended, don’t fish swordies because they take too long and you have to drop tuna all the time.

Step 3 - getting from level 60 everything to 73 everything

Now its nearly impossible for f2p but you can still train on giants which also lucky enough for you drop big bones and black square and mithril swords and other stuff like magic staffs (a lot) and money and steel bars you can choose to keep them or sell them or high alch them or give them to a friend to high alch. These are located on the second level of Crandor which means going past the lessers doing a u-turn and walking straight for a bit.

Step 4 - Lesser Hunting - getting from 73 everything to 99

Okay it may get boring don’t worry it will. Most people turn to members and why blame them, members is better but you can still train on level 82 lesser demons which drop rune med helms and other cool stuff.

Lesser Demons are located inside the dungeon and out. The ones in the dungeon are the best as there is a spot with 5 and no-one trains there. This may get boring and you have no chances of getting your prayer up so you can still go on Moss Giants. I suggest Lesser because of experience and there is more of them than Moss Giants.

I tried to teach you all I know and I hope it helped. Thanks for reading.
