Ranging Cows at Crafting Guild

A very simple way to start your ranging is to range cows. The main reason is that they have a weak defense and your range skill will be pretty poor at this stage. There are various spots available to train on cows and my suggestion is near the gate beside the crafting guild.

There are no agressive monsters nearby and you will be quite safe. The reason why being near the gate is helpful is that it will enable you to pick up your arrows if you desire them back, or you can collect up the cow hides for later use.
